Teach For Lesotho is building a Fellowship of locally rooted leaders who work with public schools and communities to expand educational opportunity and strengthen the conditions for lasting change.

Our purpose
Leadership that grows from the classroom outward.
We recruit high-potential graduates, qualified teachers not yet in service, and mission-aligned professionals; prepare them as Fellows; and place them in public schools for a two-year teaching and leadership journey.
Fellows work alongside teachers, families and communities. The work addresses immediate classroom needs while growing a long-term pipeline of education leaders, public servants, researchers, entrepreneurs and community builders.
Every learner belongs in the work.
Our Year 1 priorities are foundational literacy and numeracy, social and emotional competence, and learner agency and safety through leadership opportunities and anti-bullying activity.
Schools and communities are co-authors.
Fellows are not replacements for public education responsibilities. They work with school leadership, mentor teachers, parents, chiefs, councils and local organisations on locally defined priorities.
Learning informs what comes next.
Classroom practice, learner progress, attendance, school experience, community engagement and Fellow growth are used to improve implementation and inform wider education dialogue.

Each part of the model reinforces the others: Fellows develop as teachers and leaders; learners gain support and voice; schools gain capacity; communities share ownership; and evidence informs systems.
